If you are a Seller (supplier or vendor) and need to update, change, or replace your bank account details, you can do it yourself in the Candex portal under Settings. Candex verifies the new details, and once they are verified all future payments go to the updated account.
If your order shows the status Bank Update, Candex needs your bank details added or updated before payment can proceed. Use the same steps below.
You can update your bank details by following these steps:
- On the left side of your screen, click Settings
-
On the left side of your screen, click on Entities or Personal Bank, depending on the type of banking information you want to update.
Select Entities to update the bank details of a business entity, or Personal Bank to update individual or personal banking details. You can have personal bank details on a company account, for example, if you are paid personally but the Candex account is associated with your company or organization.
- Select the entity for which you want to update bank details
-
If you created the entity, you will have full editing access. Click on the edit button to update the entity.
-
If you are not an admin or you did not create the entity, there are restrictions on your ability to make updates to tax and bank verification documents. If this is the case, you will only be able to view banking details. If you need to update the details reach out to the entity’s owner or to support@candex.com
-
Update the information and click Save. You will need:
Bank name
Routing number — ABA, sort code, BSB, or SWIFT/BIC, depending on your country
Account number, or IBAN where applicable
Account holder name — this must match the entity name on your Candex Seller profile. Double-check that you include the full entity or individual name.
What happens after you save
Candex verifies the new bank details. Verification typically takes 1–2 business days. If additional documentation is needed, the Candex finance team will contact you. Once the details are verified, all future payments are sent to the updated account.
When should I update my bank details?
- Before a payment is scheduled. Changes take 1–2 business days to verify and take effect. Update your details before a payment is due so the funds are routed to the correct account.
- Immediately after switching banks. Do not wait until a payment is due. If the update has not taken effect when a payment is released, the payment may still use the old account's routing information.
Keeping your bank details current matters: if a payment is sent to a closed or incorrect account, the funds are returned to Candex, and the payment can only be completed once the bank details have been updated.
What if a payment was sent to my old or closed account?
If a payment was released before your bank update took effect, it may have gone to the old account. Contact support@candex.com to open a support ticket. Candex opens a failed payment investigation to trace and recall the funds. If the funds bounced from a closed or incorrect account, they are returned to Candex, and the payment is processed once the banking details have been updated.
